More Than Much Ado

January 28th, 2008 by Aj

“Sigh no more, ladies:  sigh no more.”

I love Emma Thompson.  I have since high school when watching “Much Ado About Nothing” . . . over . . . and over . . . and over.

This is so much more than much ado.  Please note:  it’s disturbing and graphic.  But since people in my community have responded to a God-placed call to help in such situations, raising my awareness, I couldn’t not watch, even though it hurt.

It hurts.

God:  freedom, redemption, peace – overwhelm such women with these.

    Thanks for this video.

    It does hurt.

That’s a very powerful way to convey the gravity of the problem. I have people in my program who are very passionate about trafficking and I’m going to pass this along.

I say this with complete and literal honesty (unlike the cliche way this gets thrown around)… it brought me to my knees.

I couldn’t do it. I tried, but just. couldn’t. do. it.

    *sigh*

I will work on getting the umph to make it through the whole thing, but SO disturbing. It honestly, physically makes my heart and stomach hurt.

I don’t think anyone should *have* to watch it: visualizations can be too powerful. If it causes more harm than good, then it should be abstained from. But it still brings awareness and prayer and hopefully action.

Just saw this. My heart is grieved beyond words.
