It drives me to ask God what God's image is of me and of other women around me, and I think there's true beauty in that seeking. And like I said, I don't think it's easier with boys: it's just different. I needed to know I'm not alone. I have a daughter whose aunt decided to "girl her up" by visiting the MAC counter, buying her an ambercrombie kids outfit, picking up a cell phone, buying her perfume...and yet she can't understand why I'd prefer her to climb a tree.
